Sharm Pillay is South Africa's 1st, Female of Colour (FOC), Techno DJ. It was April 2014 when her DJ Journey was unwittingly activated. Sharm intuitively followed her heart, taking heed to that persistent, enthusiastic feeling when tuned into music.

Sharm is a passionate, heart and soul centred DJ. Sharm grew up being influenced by RnB, Rock, Soul, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Blues and of course Techno, which ultimately set the tone for a connected and keen ear.. Sharm’s enthusiasm for DJ'ing has everything to do with the Music that gets her soul dancing, though, Techno is her one true love.

Sharm has held online radio residencies with More Bass and Chill Lover Radio in New York, Radio Futuro in Italy, two years with Vendjs in Venezuela, Beats2Dance in the Netherlands, DI.FM in UK/Sweden and more recently Kiss FM Melbourne. She’s dropped guest sets for IBIZA White FM Radio of Tantra Nightclub in Ibiza, The Movement in India and Uncut Media in South Africa. Sharm is also an ward winner, taking out #6 in the TOP10 DJ (African Continent) 2017 & #6 in MIXMAG's TOP10 "Beats to Dance Radio" Netherlands 2017.
